I have a sigma SA-7N slr camera and a 28-80mm and 70-300mm lense. I want to purchase a canon rebel eos T1i. I want to know if the lenses I already have will work with this new dslr or will I have to purchace new lenses..

    No they will not. Sigma SLR’s use their own mount just as Canon, Nikon, Sony and Pentax do. Your lenses will only fit on your Sigma camera.
    Sigma does make lenses for other cameras though. Sigma lenses are available in Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Olympus mounts. You just have to buy the right one.

    It used to be that sigma and tamron had adapters that could would with just about any camera, but I think that was just for manual focus cameras
    The T1i is going to take a canon EF or Ef-s lens mount.
    I doubt your existing lenses have the canon mount. Try checking with a reputable photography store to see if this can be done.

    Not unless the Sigma camera uses a Canon mount for their lenses. Each brand has its own mount for lenses.
