That said any DSLR will be fine. A good lens is what will make the difference. Look at the entry level cameras from Canon and Nikon. You can get a good entry level camera like a Canon Rebel XS or a Nikon D40 in the $500 range with a lens. This should leave you enough for a decent lens for your underwater photography.</description>
